Jasmine Newton, originally from Chicago,IL,is a portrait photographer, speaker, mentor and community leader based in Knoxville, TN. After working in customer service, she pursued her passion full-time, launching Javon Renee Portraits in 2015 to create timeless and empowering portraits. In 2024, she expanded her impact and began offering practical advice on balance, boundaries, and authenticity.
Jasmine actively contributes to her community as the Knoxville Chapter Leader and Chapter Leadership Coach for the Rising Tide Society, serves on the boards of Pellissippi State Photography Advisory and The Women of Knoxville, LLC, served two terms on the Mayor’s Maker Council, chaired the 2022 and 2023 Maker City Summit and is a Goldman Sachs OMBW: Black in Business Alumna.
